What We Ride
You’ll be riding out into the Florida sun on a 2022, 30’ Sea Hunt Game-Fish center console with plenty of room for up to 6 passengers. The Scotty J is powered by twin 300 horsepower Yamaha outboards. Onboard the boat you’ll find up-to-date Garmin fish finder and chart plotter, radar equipment, 3 live bait wells, and iceboxes to keep your beverages chilled. There’s also a flushable private toilet on board.
Where To Fish / What We Catch
Offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, depending on the season and length of your trip you will travel 10-40miles offshore. You will have the opportunity to chase King Mackerel, Cobia, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, American Red Snapper, Hog Fish and a variety of different sharks’ and bottom species. Depending on season and species you will either troll, drift or anchor over productive structure.
If nearshore is your interest, you are just a short boat ride away from some incredible fishing in the nearshore waters 3-10 miles off the coast of St Petersburg or Anna Maria Island. There are many numerous rock piles or ledges that hold a variety of fish to assure you of a great opportunity for great day on the water.
