Hi and welcome to Scotty J’s Charters. First I am hoping everyone is enjoying the new website. We could not be happier with the updated look and the automated booking feature we have had added. This will allow clients to book there trip online for those times we are on the water and unavailable to take any phone calls.
Secondly, the new Scotty J is scheduled to be delivered to dealer on April 13th, 2022. Our new vessel is a 30ft Gamefish (4 ft longer then current vessel) with more client storage, larger head (toilet), higher gunnels, wider beam, more aft fishing space, and more power with the twin 300 hp yamaha outboards. We are still looking to add our federal permits soon (hopefully by Red Snapper season). We will keep everyone updated on this process.
Lastly is current fishing conditions. Prior to this last front we have had a vey steady Sheepshead bite with many fish running the 18inch range with a couple at 20in mark. Nearshore there is more and more bait schools showing up along with schools of barrcuda. Water temps are raising and getting close to that magic temp for the King Macks to be showing up. I promise you will know when we boat our first of the season.
