Fishing Charters
What We Ride
You’ll be riding out into the Florida sun on a 2022, 30’ Sea Hunt Gamefish center console with plenty of room for up to 6 passengers. The Scotty J is powered by twin 300 horsepower Yamaha outboards. Onboard the boat you’ll find up-to-date Garmin fishfinder and chartplotter, radar equipment, 3 live bait wells, and iceboxes to keep your beverages chilled. There’s also a private flushable toilet on board.
Shade/shelter is limited on the boat. Weather changes fast. We constantly monitor weather via boat radar, VHF radio, and weather apps, but there is potential to get rained on. We will do everything possible to navigate around any uncomfortable weather. Sea conditions change and are not as forecasted. For that reason, at the Capt.’s discretion, an offshore trip could get diverted closer to shore during the trip.
We recommend the 4-hour trips for families with younger children or those very new to fishing or boating. We usually run the 4-hour trips 3-5 nautical miles from shore. If motion sickness is a concern, please let us know and we can plan a trip in the Lower Tampa bay area for you. Please note, all sharks will be catch and release. You are more than welcome to keep all other legal species according to state fishing regulations.
6 hour trips offer more flexibility regarding areas and number of spots fished. Usually are 6 hour trips will fish between 7-15miles from shore
For a longer trip out to the deeper more productive waters of the Gulf of Mexico, we offer 8, 10 and 12-hour trips. Depending on fishing conditions and length of trip, these trips will usually fish between 20-40 miles offshore
All of our charter prices are based on 4 people, and additional passengers can be added for our maximum of 6 total passengers per trip.
Please let us know what your expectations are, and we will help you plan your trip!
