Pricing Guide
We recommend the 4-hour trips for families with younger children or those very new to fishing. 6-hour trips offer more flexibility regarding travel time when moving between spots or number of locations available to fish. Please note, all sharks will be catch and release. You are more than welcome to keep all other legal species according to state fishing regulations.
For deeper water trips and areas for even better fishing, we offer 8, 10 and 12-hour trips. Depending on the season, and trip duration, these trips will have you 40-100 miles offshore chasing Large Grouper, Snapper, Dolphin (Mahi) and Blackfin Tuna. All of our charter prices are based on 4 people, and additional passengers can be added for our maximum of 6 total passengers per trip.
U.S. Armed Forces, Public Safety (active duty or retired, paid or volunteer), and ER staff receive $50 discount on all trips, all the time. Verification required.

Weather Cancellation
Safety always comes first with Scotty J’s Charters. We do base our decisions on cancelling a trip based on passenger safety, our safety and the safety of our vessel. Captain Rich is constantly monitoring weather, the night before the trip, the morning of the trip, and while at dock awaiting passengers. Examples of bad weather that warrant a last minute cancellation are; Small craft advisory issued for offshore trips. Seas forecast with wave height greater than 3ft, sustained winds greater than 20knts, severe thunderstorms, or widespread rainstorms. Scattered storms or light showers will not automatically lead to a weather cancellation. Remember, storms in Florida travel fast and can usually be navigated around. All weather cancellations are at the Captain’s discretion. We will give as much notice as possible when we do have to cancel a trip. However, due to rapidly changing conditions, sometimes this may occur dock side or may lead to the trip returning early. We understand how frustrating it may be to have a trip cancelled. Please understand, we do not take the decision to cancel your trip lightly.
